* Funnily enough, that “I’M WALKIN’ HERE!” bit was the result of Dustin Hoffman almost getting hit by an actual taxi that didn’t give a fuck that it was a movie scene and drove through anyway. Hoffman almost instead yelled, “HEY, WE’RE SHOOTING A MOVIE HERE!” but thought he should stay in character. (For what it’s worth, the director stopped filming after the incident, then Hoffman, after explaining, said “We have to re-do that scene, just like that/” The rest is history.)

• Pretty cool how an iconic moment like that was improvised. You just never know what’s gonna work, some people are all about improvisation and then someone like Albert Brooks isn’t.
