Halloween Daily #2: Stephen King Easter Eggs In The Dark Tower

Judging by reviews and reactions from moviegoers, it appears The Dark Tower is exactly what it looked like from the first trailer, a dull action film that alleges to be based on a beloved book. Even worse, some are saying this film is also guilty of the magical negro trope, something moviegoers were rolling their eyes at almost twenty years ago when The Legend of Bagger Vance and The Family Man came out.

Even with all its issues, it seems like somebody involved with the film attempted to attach some part of Stephen King’s work to this film since there are Easter eggs scattered throughout it.

The Shining

Salem’s Lot

Stand By Me

The Shawshank Redemption
